You can download the NHS WALES app onto any device and start using it to order your repeat medications.
If you have used the app before for accessing your Covid Pass you will be able to register without uploading any ID.
If you are new to the app, you will need to upload ID such as Passport or Driving Licence, if you do not have either of these then you won't be able to use the app at this time sorry.
There are a number of facilities on the app and you will be able to order repeat prescriptions straight away.
Other facilities will become available over time, such as the ability to book appointments and access to medical records - these aren't available at the moment and further information will follow.
Details on how to get the app can be found here: Login screen (nhs.wales)
Update 31/10/23
To be able to open a new account you will need to verify your Identity by uploading photo ID such as Passport or Driving Licence.
If you have already uploaded your ID previously for use of the NHS Covid Pass, then you don't need to upload ID again.
However if you don't have photo ID then at the moment you will not be able to open a new account, until Spring 2024.
If you have tried to open an account and have ticked NO for no photo ID, it does say we can verify you by sending a link to your GP, who can then give you the link. This option is for English practices only BUT THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE IN WALES YET.
