The Practice will arrange for you to be visited at home if your medical condition prevents you from attending the surgery.
Please phone the surgery before 10.30am to request a visit, giving the receptionist as much information as possible. The doctor may phone you after morning surgery to discuss this request before arranging the visit.
Please be aware that you may be visited by one of the Urgent Care Practitioners who support us with acute home visit requests.
Please remember that the doctor could see 4 patients in the surgery in the time it would take to attend a home visit and that they may not be able to bring to your home all the equipment that is available in the surgery to help deal with your medical condition. If it is possible to come to the surgery please do so.
THERE ARE SOME EMERGENCY CONDITIONS SUCH AS CHEST PAIN, SEVERE BREATHLESSNESS OR CHOKING WHEN AN AMBULANCE SHOULD BE CALLED ON 999. THE GP CANNOT ATTEND QUICKLY ENOUGH AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH THESE CONDITIONS APPROPRIATELY.
